MWS Annual Show 2026: Watercolour Merdeka Celebration!
In conjunction with Malaysia's 69th National Day celebration, The Malaysian Watercolour Society (MWS), in collaboration with the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), proudly presents the MWS Annual Show 2026: Watercolour Merdeka Celebration! This special exhibition showcases a collection of captivating watercolour artworks inspired by Malaysia's rich cultural heritage, national identity, and patriotic spirit.
The exhibition will be held in two phases: "Experience Malaysia" from 1–15 August 2026, followed by "Merdeka Celebration" from 16–31 August 2026, at the Creative Space, MaTiC, Kuala Lumpur.
The official opening ceremony will take place on 16 August 2026 at 2:00 PM, and will be officiated by Dato' Freida Pilus, Chairman of the Cempaka Education Group, Advisor of the Malaysian Women Graduates Society, Deputy President of the Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya, and Chairman of Yayasan PAUM.
Visitors are invited to experience a diverse collection of watercolour paintings that celebrate the beauty of Malaysia through artistic expression, highlighting the nation's landscapes, traditions, and multicultural heritage. The exhibition serves as a meaningful platform to honour the spirit of Merdeka while appreciating the creativity and talent of local artists.
