Students and lecturers from Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan conducted an educational visit to the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), located along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The visit was organised to provide students with practical exposure to the tourism industry, particularly in understanding the role and functions of MaTiC as a one-stop tourism information centre. Throughout the session, participants were introduced to the rich history of MaTiC, including the background of its iconic heritage building and its transformation into a key tourism hub in the heart of the city.

In addition, students and lecturers were given a comprehensive briefing on the facilities available at MaTiC, the various spaces within the building, and the range of retail outlets and craft shops operating inside the centre. The visit also allowed them to gain insight into how MaTiC supports local entrepreneurs, promotes Malaysian arts and culture, and enhances the overall visitor experience for both domestic and international tourists. It is hoped that this visit provided valuable knowledge and inspiration to the students, while strengthening the relationship between educational institutions and the tourism industry in Malaysia.
